USPS® AR App Reviews

I got the christmas mailing today and downloaded this to try it. I gotta admit, thats pretty cool. I cant wait to try it on the collection boxes. Hope it works on the boxes. Way to do something cool USPS

It doesnt do anything besides show Christmas lights on a mailbox

Downloaded from mailer just to see how it worked. Tested "locations" to see if it would find our nearby Staples. Nope. Constantly asking to use current location even after you agreed. Bottom line, useless. Cute if you dont want any useful output but a huge waste of usps resources to create and promote otherwise.

This is an app that serves no purpose. No wonder the post office is losing money and wasting tax payers hard earned money. Delete.

Locks into the pic mode and wont let you go to home page, set up an account, then it didnt recognize me, then tried to set up again of of course my email was taken. Tried to buy stamps 7 times and kicked me out each time. I will just get them at the store and use FX for my shipping needs. But hey my girls loved the little cartoons when they scanned the mailer.., about all its good for!

dont listen to all these bitter peoples reviews. this is just a fun little app to brighten your day. showed it to my wife and kids and it brought a smile to their faces. thanks usps! you have never failed me.

This is a highly entertaining app! Open it, point it at a usps logo, and smile!

I downloaded app and was unable to get past trying to take a picture.

I dont get it? Why would I want to see an animated box open with random stuff come out?? In a usps flier I saw it said "not sure which size (box)? Use your USPS AR app to find the right fit. As soon as you open the app the camera comes on and theres nothing else you can do..

The app is cool and worked fabulous for me. I believe the reviews with single stars may not understand augmented reality (AR) technology. It works with AR images, not just any picture, and must be positioned just right for the reader to use. Download the app and play with the collection boxes. I easily ordered priority boxes, too. I loaded this App thinking great a helpful App from the post office. Wrong. All I can get are the brackets to scan, cant get to anything else. No home page no way to get to any of the other functions. This App needs work!!!

augmented reality part is cute but what else can I use this for?

just a happy app! this only works with usps items. must align pic/brackets with a real mailbox and center the logo of the eagle and united states postal service on the side. the animation is really cool and unique!!! sounds like it works on other post office paraphernalia as well.

It is fun. The opening page could use some info explaining what youre supposed to scan. If you didnt read the mailer from USPS you would be clueless.

What the heck ! Worked once then when I tried again the screen froze up. And their are no instructions or buttons or settings.

Thought Id order my Christmas stamps through the app to save time. What a mistake! It took 8 days from my order being placed to receive the stamps. Should have just gone to the local post office. Very disappointed in the turn around time.
